Well the remains of Andrea was nice enough to drop 4.3" yesterday and overnight, but it is now on its way to Canada. Hey pwnd my Bruins are waiting for your Hawks to meet us in the finals. May the best team win, it should be a good one.

Oh geez, don't say it is expensive cosy... That is not what I wanna hear...

Ya big congrats to them. The Pens looked like they were just going to roll through everyone and then the Bruins just handed them their asses. Bruins look great.

Don't wanna get ahead of myself and say the Hawks are there for sure. It looks like they are but I don't wanna jinx them.

the belt itself is cheap....but to replace it (unless you can do it yourself---got a way to lift your engine?) is where the expense lies....perhaps you know of someone who would do that for you, in which case, its actually pretty dang cheap (if memory serves the belt is about $10).

ah sports.....ZZzzzz....

I figured the belt would be cheap. I'm not 100% sure where the timing belt on my car is but I think it is on the side of the engine, so possibly accessible without removing the whole engine. o.O

I love sports...

hubby went fishing today...didnt catch anything, not that he would keep them anyways. Still dont quite understand fishing if you dont plan on keeping anything-----

I looked online and it appears that mine is on the side of the engine. Thus eliminating the need to remove the engine. So that should help.

I would love to go fishing... We were gonna go last night but the cabin we were going to go to was flooded... oh well.

good to hear yours might not require the lifting of the engine, perhaps they finally made it so that its not required anymore.

yeah....rain stuff again....think there is one day this week that its NOT supposed to rain...back to my hebrew translating.

Depends on the year of your car I guess. Mine is a 1994... So if it was older than that, maybe. If it was newer, maybe they just got dumber...

Rained some today. And possibly more on Wednesday. Really holding out for no rain this weekend!

Got a hold of Mediacom, technician came by and tested from my modem all the way down the street. Changed out the splitter on the side of the house, the filter on the pole, and turned up the signal strength down the street. Still not optimal, but not resetting every time I turn around. Seems like the service line is in need of some maintenance, so he put in a work order to the main branch office, to have the entire neighborhood line checked out. Everyone complains amongst themselves about the service dropping all the time, but never took their complaints to Mediacom. When I don't get what I pay for, I complain.

5 of the next 7 days are to be sunny and temps in the 90's. Not really ready to turn on the AC's.

Was going through the junk piled in the shed that is falling apart in the backyard and found a picture of The Last Supper. Brought it in, cleaned it up, and painted the rusty frame. Now to find a place for it amongst all the deer and duck pictures.

Most timing belts/chains are inside the engines. A real pain in the backside to change. Everything has to be lined up just right when they go back on. Serpentine belts are the external belts, a single belt that replaced multiple belts. Usually, not all that difficult to change.

We had a similar issue at my parents house a few years ago with Comcast. The wireless just stopped working and the LAN would drop out every once in a while as well. We thought it was our ancient modem and router so we upgraded. Same issue. So we finally called Comcast and they did something similar. No problems since plus with the new modem and router, the internet was WAY faster.

Supposed to be 87 on Wednesday and storms... Hoping it storms then and rains then instead of doing so on the weekend.

Timing belt on my car is apparently outside the engine. That is where the housing for it is. I'm not going to complain.

I have called comass so many times I remember the number!! (seems they like to have 'outages' early in the morning...guess they think no one is watching tv between 2-5am, which explains all the paid programming---and why cltv isnt showing news 24 hours a day (they lie))....havent been on the phone with them in a while....and have had them out quite a few times, only to find out I know more than the 'tech' who came to my appointments!
needlesstosay, unless its something really bad, my hubby and I can usually fix it, this is also why I DO NOT have ANY other services with comass, I will NOT switch my phone service, I will NEVER use them for dsl! even if they were the last choice out there.

hey it only rained over night last night....clouds looked threatening all day, but all bark and no bite....can see the next storm on radar for wednesday well at least I wont have to water my herbs.

Does Comcast even offer DSL? I thought they were all broadband. Of course I have never explored a DSL option with them.

It is going to rain today. I know it. Why? Because I washed my car yesterday.

dunno...but I know they have internet which is the equivalent to dsl, which I do have (and will keep for sometime as I know my rep well).

not supposed to rain today--tomorrow a huge YES....and so far there is bad news for the saturday forecast...hope it goes around your wedding!

so what IS the difference between isolated thunderstorms and scattered thunderstorms? kinda like partly cloudy or sunny with a few clouds? I think I need a meteorological dictionary to learn all their terms

I think my nap today is going to be longer and sooner...mail carrier woke me at 9:30 (I went to bed at 6)...with an overseas package...bleh very tired now zzzzz....

My comment about the complainers was in reference to our neighborhood. Even the technician made a comment on how low the settings were on the pole. Paying for 15meg and getting, maybe 5meg. Not cool.

Had the mother-in-law over for dinner last night. The wife said she enjoyed it a lot. Even made a comment about us being the only ones to have her over for dinner. Fried chicken, fried potatoes, spinach, peas, and a salad. She always does a big dinner on Sunday, time to return the favor during the week.

Broke down and turned on the AC last night. Slept better because of it.

Going to wash the truck in the morning. Can't use the excuse of muddy driveway for a muddy truck anymore. Might as well get fully in the swing of city living. sigh.

That definitely is a choked internet. Not good at all.

That was very nice of you guys Perk. Sounds like a lovely time.

I turned my AC on today as well. Mainly because it started to rain. It has stopped now but I'm too lazy to open it. Plus it is fairly warm out there. :/

Saying 80 and Scattered or Isolated T-Storms... Chance of rain 40%. Maybe it will get it all out of its system early in the day.

yep, no rain in the forecast, yet, yes, it rained (and they sealed the deck /facepalm!).

we are supposed to get 15 but our [email protected] wiring wont allow it (and they cut all the lines when they put the phone in a long time ago----), so best we get is 6 (and that wasnt for very long)....so spoke with our rep, and we downed it to 6 since that is all the last line can take (didnt want to pay for something we cant have)
better than nothing which is what we would have half the time with it from the cable people-----

Depends on where the server is that I'm connecting too. If it is close, it is 5 down, if it is far away, say Cali, it is closer to 3-4. Oh well. At least it is fairly consistent.

Really warm today with strong storms in the afternoon. Says it is 72 out right now (7am) but it definitely feels warmer. When it is warm, it makes running that much harder cause it zaps my strength.

Cleaning? I'll be doing that in the next few weeks at this apartment since I'm moving next week.

Testmyspeed gave us 2.xxx down and .4xx up. Tried 6 others, 18.xxx to 25.xxx down and 3.xxx to 6.xxx up. Very interesting.

93 today, then 80's next 7 days. Chance for rain 3 or 4 days out. Hard to believe forecast when it changes with each broadcast.

Cut a bunch of brush back yesterday, cleaning it up today.
